It is slated to be the biggest pacifist mobilization in history. www.worldmarchusa.net

Endorsed by international leaders such as Jimmy Carter and the Dalai Lama, and organizations like Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders, this historic March aims to bring together events to raise awareness of the urgent need for peace and disarmament, and to pressure for a profound change in the violent direction of our society. The march will begin on Oct. 2 in Wellington, New Zealand and end in Punta de Vacas, Argentina on January 2, 2010. The marchers will arrive in New York City on November 30, 2009.
