Hello! My name is Julie Acevedo and you have stumbled upon my API page. Welcome ! This is my third semester at LaGuardia Community College and I could not be happier with my success at  this school. I love to learn and love to bring knowledge to others and help those who seek it. I was lucky enough to have an excellent API tutor when I was taking Honors English 102, "Writing through Literature." She helped me during my academic times of need and calmed me down whenever I freaked out about course materials. After I aced the semester with her help, I pondered working for the API program myself, so I could help others as she had helped me. Now I am tutoring the same course I took last semester. Since I have begun tutoring, just hearing my students say 'thank you' and watching them participate in class with ideas they discovered in my sessions, makes me feel like I am making a difference in their lives.
