Hi!  My name is Noorah Jannat. I am currently enrolled at LaGuardia Community College , majoring in Accounting. I have completed 36 credits so far and intend to transfer to Baruch or Queens College . Although my major is Accounting, I am more interested in mathematics. In fact I am sort of “addicted” to math. I wanted to become an engineer but I changed my mind and now I wish to be a mathematics professor. Working as an API tutor is helping me to choose the right career path. I believe you should enjoy what you do so that you spend your time and talent in a worthwhile way.

I love to learn new subjects and ideas and spread them. Mathematics is a field like this because you can continually explore, learning more and more. It makes you think beyond your thoughts - literally until infinity.  My hobbies, although I hardly have free time, are reading books, chatting with people and learning about different cultures. I am very dedicated to my work. When I commit to do something, I make sure that it gets done and on time.   

And last but not least, I have a message for students who give up or think they can’t make it in school: “If you fail then it is not the end. It is not the end until you succeed. Commit yourself to constant improvement, keep trying and never lose hope. Good luck!”
